Tour Itinerary

Day 1:Marrakech – High Atlas – Dades Valley / Rose Valley

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Marrakech. Travel across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), stopping along the way for panoramic views and photos.

Descend toward southern Morocco, passing traditional Berber villages clinging to the mountainsides. Continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before reaching the Dades Valley.

Arrive in the late afternoon at your guesthouse. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and a briefing about the trekking days ahead.

Day 2:Aït Arbi Gorge – Aït Youl – Monkey Fingers – Miguirne Gorge

After breakfast, transfer to Aït Arbi Gorge, the starting point of your trek. Meet your mule team and begin walking through impressive canyon landscapes.

Pass through Aït Youl village, surrounded by dramatic cliffs, before reaching the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations, unique stone structures shaped by erosion.

Continue through the striking Miguirne Gorge, where narrow passages and towering rock walls create a dramatic setting.

Dinner and overnight in a local guesthouse or camp.

Day 3:Aït Youl – Aït M’Roa

Today’s trail follows scenic valley paths and ancient footpaths linking remote Berber settlements. Walk through terraced fields, walnut groves, and small farming communities where daily life continues much as it has for generations.

The route gradually climbs into more open mountain terrain, offering expansive views over the M’Goun massif.

Arrive in Aït M’Roa in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4:Aït M’Roa – Tiranimin

Set off toward Tiranimin, crossing varied landscapes of rocky plateaus and cultivated valleys. The path alternates between gentle ascents and rolling terrain, allowing time to appreciate the silence and scale of the mountains.

You may encounter shepherds tending their flocks along the way.

Reach Tiranimin by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in guesthouse or camp.

Day 5:Tiranimin – Imi n’Irkt

Today’s trek takes you deeper into the heart of the High Atlas. Walk through isolated highland scenery, crossing dry riverbeds and following traditional mule tracks used for centuries.

The landscape becomes increasingly wild, with fewer villages and more dramatic mountain backdrops.

Arrive in Imi n’Irkt in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6:Imi n’Irkt – Ouzighimte

Continue toward Ouzighimte, one of the most beautifully situated villages in the region. The trail winds between rugged slopes and cultivated terraces, offering stunning contrasts between rock and greenery.

As you approach the village, enjoy panoramic views over the valley below.

Dinner and overnight in Ouzighimte.

Day 7:Ouzighimte – Tizi n’Aït Hamed – Amskar

Today is one of the most scenic stages of the expedition. Ascend toward Tizi n’Aït Hamed Pass, where sweeping views open across the High Atlas peaks.

Along the descent, stop at a refreshing mountain waterfall, a rare and beautiful feature in this rugged terrain.

Continue toward the peaceful village of Amskar, nestled in a hidden valley. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8:Amskar – Almdoun – Agouti Gorge

Begin trekking from Amskar toward Almdoun, walking through cultivated terraces and traditional adobe hamlets.

The route then enters the impressive Agouti Gorge, where towering canyon walls and river-carved rock formations create one of the most dramatic landscapes of the entire trek.

Dinner and overnight near the gorge.

Day 9:Agouti – Magic Valley – Bou Tharar / Boutaghrar

Follow scenic trails through the enchanting Magic Valley, famous for its colorful rock formations and constantly changing light.

This stretch offers some of the most photogenic scenery of the expedition. Gradually approach Bou Tharar (Boutaghrar), a lively village surrounded by mountain ridges and riverbeds.

Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse.

Day 10:Bou Tharar / Boutaghrar – Tabarkhachte

Today’s walk follows beautiful valley routes toward Tabarkhachte. Pass almond trees, small gardens, and adobe homes framed by dramatic peaks.

The pace is steady and enjoyable, allowing time for cultural encounters and photography.

Arrive in Tabarkhachte in the afternoon. Farewell dinner and overnight.

Day 11:Tabarkhachte – Rose Valley – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, say goodbye to your trekking team and transfer by vehicle through the Rose Valley, known for its fragrant rose fields in spring.
