Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking any tour or service with Morocco Desert Gateway.

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, tours, and services provided by Morocco Desert Gateway, a licensed travel agency registered in Morocco (RC N° 181839 · I.C.E: 003928066000078), based in Marrakech. By booking a tour, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1 Company Information

Morocco Desert Gateway is a licensed travel and tour operator based in Marrakech, Morocco, specializing in private desert tours, M’Goun Valley treks, N’Kob adventures, camel trekking, Sahara experiences, and off-road Morocco tours.

2 Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit and a written confirmation from Morocco Desert Gateway via email or WhatsApp.

  • Bookings can be made via our website, email, or WhatsApp.
  • A confirmation email will be sent within 24–48 hours of receiving your deposit.
  • All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
  • The client is responsible for providing accurate personal information (names, nationalities, contact details) at the time of booking.
  • Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

3 Deposit & Payment Policy

💳 Accepted payment methods: Cash (EUR, USD, GBP, MAD), Bank Transfer, PayPal, or Credit Card. A processing fee of 3–5% applies to PayPal and credit card payments.

All prices are quoted in Euros (€) or US Dollars ($) unless otherwise specified. Prices are per person unless stated as a group rate.

4 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be communicated in writing via email to contact@moroccodesertgateway.com. The date of email receipt is the effective cancellation date.

⚠️ Morocco Desert Gateway strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation. We are not responsible for losses due to cancellations caused by personal circumstances.

5 Changes & Modifications

If you wish to change your tour dates, itinerary, or number of participants after confirmation:

  • Changes requested 14+ days before departure — we will do our best to accommodate at no extra charge (subject to availability).
  • Changes requested less than 14 days before — may incur an administration fee and will depend on availability.
  • Morocco Desert Gateway reserves the right to modify itineraries due to weather, road conditions, safety concerns, or force majeure events. In such cases, alternative arrangements of equal or similar value will be provided.

6 What Is Included & Excluded

Each tour page clearly specifies inclusions and exclusions. As a general rule:

  • All national park entry fees

  • Tips & gratuities
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Optional activities not listed

7 Health, Safety & Physical Requirements

  • Clients must inform us of any medical conditions, physical limitations, or dietary requirements at the time of booking.
  • Trekking tours (M’Goun, Jbel Saghro) require a reasonable level of physical fitness. Difficulty levels are stated on each tour page.
  • Morocco Desert Gateway and its guides reserve the right to exclude any participant whose health or behavior puts themselves or others at risk.
  • We strongly recommend consulting your doctor before participating in any strenuous trekking activity.
  • In remote desert and mountain areas, medical facilities may be limited. Emergency evacuation may be arranged at the client’s expense.

8 Limitation of Liability

Morocco Desert Gateway acts as a licensed tour operator and takes all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and quality of all tours. However:

  • We are not liable for loss, damage, injury, or death resulting from personal negligence, failure to follow guide instructions, or force majeure events (weather, natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, pandemics, etc.).
  • We are not responsible for losses or costs incurred due to flight cancellations, delays, or other transport issues not arranged by us.
  • We are not liable for the loss or theft of personal belongings during any tour.
  • Our total liability in any situation is limited to the total amount paid for the tour in question.

9 Travel Documents & Visa

  • Clients are solely responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport and any required visas to enter Morocco.
  • Most EU, US, UK, and Canadian citizens do not require a visa for Morocco for stays up to 90 days — but clients must verify this independently before travel.
  • Morocco Desert Gateway is not responsible for any issues arising from improper travel documents.

10 Client Conduct

Clients are expected to behave respectfully toward local communities, guides, accommodation staff, and the natural environment at all times. Morocco Desert Gateway reserves the right to terminate a tour without refund if a client’s behavior:

  • Endangers themselves or others
  • Is offensive, abusive, or discriminatory
  • Damages property or natural sites
  • Violates Moroccan laws or local customs

11 Photography & Privacy

  • Clients may take personal photographs during tours for private use.
  • Always ask permission before photographing local people, especially in rural Berber communities.
  • Morocco Desert Gateway may photograph tours for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to appear in promotional materials, please notify us in writing before your tour.
  • Client data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12 Complaints Procedure

If you experience any problem during your tour, please raise it immediately with your guide or our team so we can resolve it on the spot. If unresolved, formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of your tour’s end date to:

We aim to respond to all formal complaints within 7 business days.

13 Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Marrakech, Morocco.

14 Updates to These Terms

Morocco Desert Gateway reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website at moroccodesertgateway.com/terms. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
